My research focuses on developing a decentralized architecture that delivers a secure and reliable quality of care by integrating “Blockchain” and “Edge Computing” in Healthcare IoT Systems. Blockchain has emerged as a technology with capabilities to provide secure management, authentication, and access to IoT devices and their data, in a decentralized manner with high trust, integrity, and resiliency. The incorporation of edge computing endows IoT systems with abundant computational and storage resources distributed at the network edge, which can effectively offload the blockchain storage and mining computation from power-limited devices.
