Bio
Dr. Carlos Rubio-Medrano is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC), where he leads the Cybersecurity Research and Innovation Laboratory (CSRIL). He received a PhD in Computer Science from Arizona State University in 2016, and an MS in Computer Science from The University of Texas at El Paso in 2008. His research interests include: Cybersecurity (Authorization and Access Control) for Industrial Control Systems, Mobile Augmented Reality, and Unmanned Aerial Systems. Software Specifications for Verification and Validation. Usability for Cybersecurity. Dr. Rubio-Medrano has authored more than 30 research publications in top cybersecurity venues such as the ACM Computer and Communications Security Conference (CCS), the USENIX Security Symposium, and the IEEE Symposium on Security and Privacy (S&P). Also, he has served as an instructor of courses such as Information Assurance, Computer Networks, Digital Forensics, etc., and has organized several student hackathon competitions. He is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).
