Dr. Qin is an Assistant Professor at University of California, Santa Barbara. Her research interests primarily focus on robustness in machine learning, such as adversarial robustness, out-of-distribution generalization & detection. In addition, she is highly passionate about developing reliable AI-driven models tailored for healthcare, with a particular focus on diabetes management. She has a prolific publication record of 30 papers in top-tier conferences and journals (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, etc), amassing over 2800 citations. Her research impacts have earned prestigious awards, including the UCSB Faculty Research Award, Adobe Faculty Research Award and a recognition as a Rising Star in EECS at MIT.
