To gather participation data that CAHSI has reached directly, the CAHSI Data Management (DM) team uses the data from the CAHSI ENGAGE tool and the CAHSI Local Research Experiences for Undergraduates (LREU) program. The CAHSI ENGAGE tool aims to assist faculty, staff, and student advocates in documenting delivery and participation in CAHSI-related and other student success activities. The LREU program is CAHSI’s significant initiative that engages students and faculty at their home institutions in impactful and meaningful research projects to build students’ knowledge, skills, and abilities in computing that develop solutions to real-world problems. The participation data can be used to track our progress toward the objectives for mutually reinforcing activities for building and strengthening institutional and student capacity building.
