Dr. Gurijala's research areas of interest are in cybersecurity and software engineering. The overarching vision of his research is to promote and facilitate the incorporation of security concerns early in the software development lifecycle via automating the acquisition, customization, and prediction of new security knowledge from the vast regularly maintained reliable security domain knowledge available using principles of software engineering. Recently, he has been involved in IoT security, in particular drone security.
