Chen Chen

Position: Assistant Professor, University of Central Florida

Bio

Dr. Chen Chen is an Assistant Professor at the Center for Research in Computer Vision (CRCV) at the University of Central Florida. His research interests include computer vision, machine learning, and image and video processing. His research contributions have been focused on (1) developing efficient (i.e., low complexity) deep learning networks for various computer vision tasks, (2) designing resource-aware deep neural networks for efficient and adaptive inference under dynamic resource constraints in real-world applications, and (3) label efficient learning for image and video analysis. Dr. Chen has been actively involved in several NSF and industry-sponsored research projects, focusing on efficient resource-aware machine vision algorithms and systems development for large-scale camera networks. He is an Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems for Video Technology (T-CSVT), Journal of Real-Time Image Processing, and IEEE Journal on Miniaturization for Air and Space Systems. He also served as an area chair for several conferences such as ECCV’2022, CVPR’2022, and ACM-Multimedia 2019-2022. According to Google Scholar, he has 12K+ citations and an h-index of 54.
