Position: Assistant Professor, University of Texas at El Paso
Dr. Tosh's primary research focuses on modeling and analysis of cybersecurity challenges in the critical infrastructures, next generation networks, distributed systems, and other emerging cyber-physical systems like IoT and IoVT. The overarching goal of his research is to develop resilient and sustainable mechanisms that address various complex cyber and data security challenges associated in both military and civilian computing environments. At present, he and his team are particularly working in the following research areas: Sensor identification and process integrity assurance for fossil power plants, AI-empowered risk model for large scale cyber systems, Blockchain driven data provenance, secure sensor communication in Internet of Things (IoT), 5G-based edge computing framework for component health monitoring, and decentralized security models for critical infrastructure and supply-chain systems.
