Bio

Dr. Rivera is a postdoctoral scholar at the University of Texas at El Paso with the Computing Alliance for Hispanic Serving Institutions (CAHSI). Her research is centered on diversify STEM fields, with a particular emphasis on the pivotal role Hispanic Serving Institutions play in enhancing diversity within the STEM workforce. Additionally, she is dedicated to broadening opportunities for underrepresented students to achieve meaningful representation in STEM graduate education. With over 15 years of experience in higher education spanning four different institutions, Dr. Rivera brings a wealth of expertise in areas such as admissions, academic advising, student, staff, and faculty professional development, and curriculum design.
