Position: Assistant Professor, University of Illinois Chicago
Dr. Medya is an assistant professor in Computer Science at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC). Before joining UIC, he was a research assistant professor at the Kellogg School of Management and the Northwestern Institute of Complex Systems at Northwestern University. His research is focused on the problems at the intersection of data science, graphs, and machine learning. More specifically, he designs machine learning algorithms and data science tools that help to analyze, understand, and optimize large-scale networked systems. He also deploys these algorithms and tools to solve problems in areas such as hardware design, healthcare, and computational social science. Over the past few years, he has worked on designing novel, interpretable, and efficient graph neural network architectures.
