Bio
Buy's traditional research interests are in the general area of software engineering with emphasis on modeling, analysis, and supervisory control of concurrent and multithreaded software. For the past several years Buy has been applying machine learning techniques for such goals as fraud detection and gender guessing in online social networks. Most recent work uses supervised and unsupervised learning to detect the onset of emotional issues, such as anxiety and depression, in high-school students.
