National and CAHSI Trends
The CAHSI Data Management (D.M.) team uses the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) database by the U.S. Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) to provide key stakeholders with a comprehensive overview of postsecondary completion trends nationally in Computing fields. To identify computing fields, the D.M. team uses 2-digit CIP codes – 11. Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services (The Classification of Instructional Programs). The percentage of each group of students is based on the total number of students who earned a degree in computing fields.
To track and monitor our progress toward our 2030 vision, CAHSI Enrollment and CAHSI Degree Completion presents aggregated data by year. From 2013-14 through 2018-2019, 33 higher education institutions of our partner institutions were included, and 37 institutions were included from 2019-20 and 2020-21.
